Athabasca River
Class 2 / Beginner
Mid-May - September
The Athabasca River originates 100km south of Jasper from the
glaciers of the Columbia Icefields. The river was used extensively
by fur traders between 1810 and 1860, and has been designated
a Canadian Heritage River. We raft two different sections of
this river, with both of them providing exceptional views of
the Rocky Mountains and sporting some lively rapids.
Mile 5 Run - This two hour trip is suitable for people of all ages.

Canyon Run - A three hour round trip that starts
at the base of Athabasca Falls and continues down a spectacular
canyon for over 13km. Suitable for everyone over the age of
6.

Class III Rivers
Sunwapta River
Class 3 / Intermediate
June to September
By far our most popular trip and definitely the best whitewater in Jasper, the Sunwapta lives up to it's Stony Indian name of "turbulent water". The Sunwapta river emerges from the Columbia Icefields and we raft very close to the headwaters of this silt-laden river.
Sunwapta River Run - This 3-3.5 hour round trip offers an exciting combination of fast rapids, incredible scenery and abundant wildlife. There are no age restrictions, however minors must weigh a minimum of 40 kilos (90lbs.).

The largest river in British Columbia begins in Mount Robson Provincial Park. Under the shadow of the highest peak in the Rockies enjoy some of the best whitewater fun in Canada.

Class III&IV Rivers (Overnight)
Kakwa River
Class 3&4 / Intermediate
June to September
Kakwa/Smokey River Class - Located in Kakwa Provincial Park, this is Alberta's most exciting white water. This 2night/3day trip begins on the Kakwa River. As we float down the first class I section there is many opportunity to casts a few lines, and try our luck with some fishing. Or snap some amazing photos of breath taking scenery and local wildlife (we are in moose country). After some rest and relaxation we splash into some serious white water, with drop, holes and monster waves making our way to one of many beautiful beaches. Eat amazing gourmet food prepared for you by your personal chef and kick back and relax around a camp fire with a glass of wine. Sleep will be luxury in the most comfortable sleeping bag and tents provided for you. The second day is full of outstanding white water as we move onto the Smokey River, be ready to paddle. On the final day the water calms downs and we float down the river to our take out.

Heli Rafting
Cline River

Coming in Summer 2011, Heli-Rafting with Jasper Rafting
Adventures! This trip will surely be your most powerful experience
in the Rockies...
Heli-Raft trips will include 2 Flights that bring you to and from the Cline River, which is NOT accessible by car! 2 Hours of pure rafting fun on a Class III River with a professional guide. All required river-gear is supplied by us. All you need is a swimsuit, towel, sweater, water bottle, smile and a sense of ADVENTURE!
Allow 4 Hours without transportation
Heli-Raft: $TBA Per Person (Must Be Booked in Advance, 6 person max.)
Add 3 Hours Transportation: $TBA (or drive to the heli-pad on your own. Icefields Helicopter Tours is located on Hwy 11, approximately 1.5 hours from Jasper)
